My Name is Khan…

13 Feb

Heyloo blog, howdy? 🙂

I have been to the cine today to watch an indian film – My Name Is Khan. And I have only one word for this film: Fantastic. It has been so long since I last appreciated a movie. A perfectly crafted movie by Karan Johar, starring Shah Rukh and Kajol.

The movie also delivers a beautiful message which everyone should really think upon. It is based on the event of 9/11 which radically changes the way the world sees Muslims, especially Americans. Islam is definitely not about jihaad. It is a religion of Love. It teaches the perfect way of living for every individual.  ‘My name is Khan, and I’m not a terrorist’ –  this film accentuates on this phrase. The film also teaches some of life’s basic values which have been lost in recent times. Not to forget powerful performances from the jodi that stormed the screens 13 years ago with DDLJ. Karan and Shah Rukh have done what they had to for the viewers and peace at large. Shah Rukh Khan has delivered a terrific performance from frame one. Kajol, I dare say, is the Queen of Bollywood.  Just natural. Pure bliss.

Watching it is a MUST 🙂 I Totally Love It!!

Oh, tomorrow is Valentine’s day 🙂 So Happy Valentine to Everyone 🙂 fiuuu took much for me to be this kind 😉 hehe!

Have a great week aliens 🙂 Am off to my dreamland…

Didn’t quite like the movie. I think the storyline was ‘bollywoodesque’, making completely no sense at all and with the emotional scenes dragging and dragging. IMHO, i reckon SRK’s perfomance was crap, to say the least. He fades in comparison to Dustin Hoffman who plays a similar role in ‘Rain Man’. And people tend to believe that actors who have the roles of handicapped persons should get an award. SRK is just highly overrated and well past his prime.

*spoiler alert* chronologically it makes no sense at all, 9/11 attacks in 2001, the election of obama in 2009, so how long was he in prison??? :-”

On the up side, kajol looks stunning- like wine, she gets better with age; didn’t play a major role in the movie, just the usual crying scenes but still it was good to see her. The soundtrack is also worth listening- tere naina and sajda im sure will prove to be great hits. (can’t understand why there are songs from KHNH, KANK, KKHH on the album!)

and yea ‘im achmed (from the epiglottis) and im a dead terrorist’ 😉

personally, i have not liked the movie. and it is becoming common to mix ‘shirk’ with islam ; i must say. i agree that islam is a religion of peace but however; i cannot condone that things are being done that are totally forbidden in Islam (e.g. SRK doing namaaz in the same room when kajol is praying an idol in the same room). This is a total disrespect and ignorance of the basic knowledge of Islam.

hopefully, i’ll be opening up a blog with the hope to spread knowledge about the basic foundations of islam and its teachings..and also as a reality check with our existing system. insha allah..
